(SEATTLE, Wash.) — Alan White, a staple of the progressive-rock band Yes died at his home in Newcastle this week.
White’s family made the announcement on social media, saying he passed away after a brief illness.
White was arguably the most consistent and stable member of a band that was known for frequent lineup changes.
In addition to his work with Yes, White collaborated on various projects with John Lennon and George Harrison, including drumming for Lennon’s 1971 hit “Imagine.”
White and his bandmates were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2017.
