Disney has officially shelved its planned Blossom reboot, despite having a completed script and the full support of the original cast and creator. Star Mayim Bialik shared the news on her Substack, attributing the decision to industry turmoil, including corporate mergers, executive shake-ups, and stalled responses. She also expressed disappointment that Disney declined to release the rights, preventing the team from exploring other funding or distribution options.

Meanwhile, production is underway on Searching for Stars Hollow, a feature-length documentary marking the 25th anniversary of Gilmore Girls. The film will feature interviews with cast members Kelly Bishop, Jared Padalecki, and Chad Michael Murray, along with insights from behind-the-scenes figures. It also explores the show’s Connecticut inspirations—such as the Mayflower Inn and Yale—and highlights the enduring passion of its devoted fanbase.
