Fast forward to 1978, Queen filmed the infamous “Bicycle Race” video with 65 nude models at London’s Wimbledon Stadium—prompting a demand to replace the bicycle seats. In 1983, Vanessa Williams broke barriers as the first Black woman crowned Miss America. A decade later, in 1994, Heather Whitestone made history as the first deaf Miss America.
