Physical health also has a powerful connection to the brain. Researchers with the Radiological Society of North America have found that having more muscle and less belly fat may actually slow brain aging. This combination was linked to a lower risk of future brain diseases, including Alzheimer’s, offering yet another compelling reason to stay active.

Finally, a study from the University of Geneva highlights the importance of natural light. Spending long hours under artificial lighting can disrupt the body’s internal clock, affecting metabolic health. Researchers found that exposure to natural light helped stabilize metabolism and lower blood glucose levels, reinforcing the benefits of stepping outside whenever possible.
