Macaulay Culkin says he’s open to returning for a new Home Alone sequel, but only if the story “feels right,” imagining Kevin McCallister as a single dad whose own son locks him out and becomes the one setting the traps. However, no such sequel is currently in development, with original director Chris Columbus cautioning against attempts to recreate the magic of the holiday classic. One sequel that is moving forward is Rush Hour 4, as Paramount Pictures is reportedly closing a deal to distribute the Brett Ratner–directed film, which has regained traction following reported intervention by President Trump and is expected to reunite original stars Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan.
