Hilaree Nelson grew up in Seattle and used to ski at Stevens Pass. The 49-year-old mother of 2 and her romantic and climbing partner Jim Morrison became renowned in mountaineering circles for climbing the world’s highest peaks and skiing back down. The New York Times reports she fell into a crevasse Monday on Manaslu in Nepal and remains missing. Manaslu suffered an avalanche disaster last week that reportedly killed two climbers.
