Super Driver

[SEATTLE]  When you think of first responders…police officers, paramedics, and firefighters come to mind.

Perhaps you should consider bus drivers in this same category?

From the time he was younger, Jack Millman has wanted to help. And you could say he comes by it honestly.  His uncle was in law enforcement, and Jack was an Explorer with Seattle Police as a teenager.  He then worked with kids in the juvenile system, but it was a call from a friend that would change his life route permanently.

His one friend, and then another, had just become bus driver’s for King County METRO, and they were convinced this was Jack’s “calling.”

Flash-forward two decades, and Jack Millman is not only a “helper” but he is is hero as well.  AND he was just awarded METRO’s “Operator of the year” designation.

Take a listen as Jack, in his own words, tells Northwest Newsradio about his career and all the people he’s been able to help along the way.
