(PORTLAND, Ore.) — Tensions are flaring in Minneapolis and Portland after federal immigration agents shot three people, killing one.
The first shooting happened Wednesday, Jan. 7, in Minneapolis, when a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent fatally shot 37-year-old Renee Good during a protest. The Trump administration says Good tried to run over the agent with her car, but others dispute what the video shows.
The next day, a U.S. Border Patrol agent shot two people in Portland during what federal officials described as a targeted vehicle stop.
The shootings have sparked outrage nationwide and hardened partisan divisions.
