Frankie Muniz is stepping back into his most famous role in Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair, a four-episode revival premiering on Disney+ this December. Set 20 years after the original series, the special brings the Wilkerson family together for their parents’ 40th anniversary, while introducing a new generation navigating the family’s signature chaos. Muniz, who later became a NASCAR driver, teased that fans will be “surprised” by where the family is today.
Meanwhile, Peacock has debuted The Paper, the first-ever spinoff of The Office from creator Greg Daniels. The series stars Domhnall Gleeson as an ambitious editor trying to rescue a failing Toledo newspaper, with Oscar Nuñez reprising his role as Oscar Martinez. All episodes of the first season are now available to stream.
And in superhero news, James Gunn has officially announced Superman: Man of Tomorrow, the next installment in his DC film saga. Starring David Corenswet as Superman and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, the sequel is set for a July 2029 release following the success of Gunn’s recent Superman film, which landed just behind Lilo & Stitch at the summer box office.
