September 24.  On this day in history: In 1906, President Theodore Roosevelt designated Devil’s Tower in Wyoming as the first U.S. national monument. In 1960, the Navy launched its first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, the U.S.S. Enterprise, from Newport News, Virginia. A year later, in 1961, The Bullwinkle Show premiered on NBC, bringing Rocky and Bullwinkle to primetime TV. In 1968, 60 Minutes debuted on CBS, eventually becoming the longest-running news magazine. Fast forward to 2003, Arnold Schwarzenegger joined his first political debate during California’s recall election.
