Lilyan Beck

Lilyan Beck brings fresh energy and a strong commitment to keeping Northwest Newsradio listeners informed. As the morning drive-time editor, she helps audiences stay up to date with the latest news, even before the sun rises.  Lilyan was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and holds a degree in Media and Journalism from Central Washington University. As News Director of the campus radio station, she represented CWU at the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System Awards in New York City, where she presented her work in radio production. In addition to her experience in radio, Lilyan held leadership roles with several college publications, gaining a well-rounded background in editorial work and newsroom management.  Passionate about storytelling, community, and growth, Lilyan is dedicated to learning, mentoring, and helping build a network of engaged and intentional journalists.  Lilyan grew up in Snohomish County and now enjoys spending her time exploring Seattle and seeking new experiences with her family and dog, Ducky. With a curious spirit and a passion for adventure, she hopes to one day travel the world and see all it has to offer.  As an avid concert goer herself, she loves reporting on fun events in the community. She is the voice behind the station’s “What’s Going On” segment and can’t wait to tell you all about the local happenings.
